He is a 7th grade student at Harry <br />Huntl Jr. ~Hi~h SCh!~0I. <br /> <br /> Moti°n oflMr~ Epperson and Seconded by Mr'~ Ki~ng the <br />minutes of a Called Meeting of December 9, 199I; the minutes of <br />a Public Hearing of December 9, 1991; the minutes of a Called <br />Meet~in~g o~f December~10,~1991;~the minutes of .a RegutariMeeting <br />of December 10, 1991; the minutes of a Special Meeting of <br />December 17, 1991; to be approved as received, and was adopted <br />by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />92-08 - Resolution extending the congratulations of the Council <br /> of the City of Portsmouth to the Woodrow Wilson High <br /> School Varsity Football Team and their coaches on <br /> winning the group AAA Division Five Virginia State High <br /> School Football Championship fer 1991.~ ~ <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Clemons and seconded~by Mr. King the <br />following resolution was adopted, and by the following vote: <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE CONGRATULATIONS OF THE COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH TO THE WOODROW WILSON HIGH <br /> SCHOOL VARSITY FOOTBALL TEAM AND'~THEIR COACHES ON WINNING <br /> THE GROUP AAA DIVISION FIVE VIRGINIA STATE HIGH SCHOOL <br /> FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FOR 1991. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the woodrow wilson High School Varsity Footbgll <br />Team has won the 1991 Group AAA Divisien Five Virginia State <br />High School Football Championship concluding an undefeated <br />season in which the team won t4 games; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Woodrow wilson High'School Varsity Football <br />Team was honored by being ranked Number 12 in the Final USA <br />Today National Poll; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Woodrow Wilson High School Varsity Football <br />Team by its successful athletic achievements as a team, and by <br />the individual achievements of the members of the team and <br />coach and his staff, and all of the persons affiliated with the <br />team, have represented their School and the City of Portsmouth <br />in a commendable manner throughout the Commonwealth of <br />Virginia. ~' <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the Council hereby extends its <br />congratulations to the Woodrow Wilson High School Varsity <br />Football Team and their Coach Darnell Moore and Coaching Staff <br />on winning the Group AAA Divisien Five Virginia High School <br />Football Championship for 1991. <br /> <br />Ayes: Clemons, Corprew, Epperson, King, Hawks, Williams, Webb <br />Nays: None '~ <br /> <br /> 92-09 - Resolution honoring the Portsmouth Community <br />Services Board, a recipient of the 1991 Governor's Award for <br />anti-drug efforts. <br /> <br /> <br />
