January 22. 2008 Ayes: Heretick, Moody, Psi mas, Randall, Holley Nays: D. Smith, R. Smith 08 - 38 - Adoption of an ordinance to appropriate $88,241 in the FY 2007-2008 Behavioral Healthcare Services Fund Operating Budget for the purchase of vehicles and computer equipment. Each year the General Assembly considers and approves Cost Of Living Adjustments (COLA) relative to available state funding. The General Assembly approved $88,241 in 2008 COLA funds for the City of Portsmouth's Department of Behavioral Healthcare Services (BHS). Discussion: . COLA funds are state general funds that will be used for the purchase of additional computer equipment and vehicles for BHS. Financial Impact: . There is no financial impact to the city. Staff Recommends: Adoption of ordinance. Vision Principle: Thriving Neighborhoods and a Sense of Community. Next Steps Following Council Action: . If the requested appropriation is approved, the Director of BHS will ensure the proper dispersal of funds. Motion by Mr. D. Smith, and seconded by Mr. Heretick, to adopt the following ordinance, and was adopted by the following vote: "ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE AN ADDITIONAL $88,241 IN THE FY 2007-2008 BEHAVIORAL HEAL THCARE SERVICES FUND OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE PURCHASE OF VEHICLES AND COMPUTER EQUIPMENT." MAYOR'S COMMITTEE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES Davy Smith to be appointed to fill a term ending June 30,2009, replacing Warren Mills. MUSEUM AND FINE ARTS COMMISSION George Scott to be appointed to fill a three year term ending October 31, 2010, replacing Grace Armistead.
