This project will <br />entail the purchase of property and the acquisition of both <br />temporary and permanent easements and right-of-ways from <br />thirty-one (31) property owners in the City of Suffolk. Based <br />upon independent appraisals of the properties, easements and <br />right-of-ways to be acquired and allowing for a normal <br />negotiation contingency, the Director of Public Utilities has <br />requested an appropriation of $151,000 in Public Utility <br />Capital Improvements Fund to cover these property acquisitions. <br /> <br /> I concur with this request and recommend approval on first <br />reading to facilitate uninterrupted progress on this project. <br />With your approval of this item, the balance in the Public <br />Utility Capital Improvements Fund will be $15,978,507." <br /> <br /> <br />
