Vision Principles: A Robust and Prospering Economy, Lifelong
Learning Community, and Thriving Neighborhoods and a Sense of Community.

Background:
. The Commonwealth Transportation Board's (CTB) revenue sharing program has
been continued for this year but at a reduced level of funding of $15 million statewide.
. The program was expanded last year by the CTB to include the urban
municipalities and the maximum amount of funds available per locality was increased to
$1,000,000 on a one to one matching basis.
. Proposed requests for these funds must be submitted to the District VDOT office
by December 22, 2006.

Discussion:
. The project recommended for the revenue sharing program is the street and
infrastructure improvements to support the proposed TCC Campus at the Victory
Commerce Park. This project is estimated at a total cost of $12 million.
. As a portion of the funding for this project, $1,000,000 is being requested from
the CTB revenue sharing program.
