<br /> At a Regular Meeting of the City Council held on Tuesday,
<br />November 23, 1993, there were present:
<br />
<br /> Mayor Gloria O. Webb, Vice Mayor Lee E. King, Johnny M.
<br />Clemons, John H. Epperson, Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., James C.
<br />Hawks, Cameron C. Pitts, V. Wayne Orton, City Manager, Stuart
<br />E. Katz, City Attorney.
<br />
<br /> Reverend Richard W. Lovingood, Cradock presbyterian
<br />Church, opened the meeting with prayer which was followed by
<br />the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
<br />
<br /> Mayor Webb called the meeting to order and welcomed all in
<br />attendance.
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Epperson, and seconded by Mr. King, the
<br />minutes of a Called Meeting on November 8, 1993; a Regular
<br />Meeting on November 8, 1993; a Called Meeting on November 8,
<br />1993; a Called Meeting on November 9, 1993; and a Regular
<br />Meeting on November 9, 1993, were approved, and were adopted
<br />and by unanimous vote.

<br />93-450 Proclsanation presented to Chief Leslie Martinez,
<br />Police Department for "National Drunk and Drugged Prevention
<br />Month."
<br />
<br />93-451 Proclamation presented to Wayne J. Pickett, Regional
<br />Aids Coordinator, for "World Aids Day."
<br />
<br />93-452 - Introduction of Portsmouth Host Families and
<br />presentation to the following Exchange Students: Nicole Marais
<br />(Churchland), Kristiin Milikov (Churchland), Selma Vilhunen
<br />(Churchland), Elizabeth Ornelas (Churchland}, Tania Solis
<br />(Churchland), Andrea Wenzel (Norcum), Maya Pinsky (Wilson),
<br />Miroslava Ivanova (Wilson), Ekaterina Ivanova (Wilson), Lars
<br />Hansen (Wilson), Metre Fagerlund (Wilson), Olaf Deutscb-bein

<br />the widening of Cedar Lane.
