Stuck to be appointed to fill a term with no expiration date, replacing <br />Ronald W. Gildea to be appointed to fill a term with no expiration date, replacing <br />Robert P. Creecy. <br /> <br />HAMPTON ROADS PLANNING DISTRICT COMMISSION <br /> <br />Daniel M. Stuck to be appointed to fill an unexpired term ending June 30, 2001, <br />replacing Ronald W. Massie. <br /> <br />EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES ADVISORY BOARD <br /> <br />James G. Gildea to be appointed to fill a term with no expiration date, replacing <br />Robert P. Creecy. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Griffin, and seconded by Mr. Robinett, to close the nominations, <br />and there being no further nominations, the above nominations were adopted by <br />unanimous vote. <br /> <br />01 - 42 - Items Submitted by Council Members <br /> <br />Councilman Moody inquired on the status of the Seawall Festival. <br /> <br />Councilman Whitehurst asked for a report on the celebration for Helen Person, <br />status of Portsmouth Notables Banquet, a report on OpSail containing attendance <br />and financial report, and HUD audit. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Griffin complimented City Clerk's office for handling Mr. Massie's <br />Retirement dinner. <br /> <br />Councilman Pitts spoke on Street Light Outage and Graffiti Programs. <br /> <br />City Clerk gratefully accepted compliments by Vice Mayor and acknowledged team <br />members, Kenneth M. Wheeler, Sheila Martin and Carolyn McClure. <br /> <br />01 - 43 - Non-Agenda Speakers <br /> <br />1. Debbie Gingras, 308 Robin Road, requested funds for providing air conditioning at <br /> Olive Branch Elementary School this year rather than in 2007. <br /> <br />2. Melissa Green, 104 York Drive, spoke on denial of a building permit to replace her <br /> house that burned down in December. <br /> <br />3. Kim Williams, 917 Leckie Street, spoke on gas bill being as much or higher than her <br /> mortgage. <br /> <br />4. Diane Pierce, 2875 Greenwood Drive, spoke on water being cut-off without <br /> notification. <br /> <br />5. Rebecca Perez, 636 City Park Avenue, spoke on information received from <br /> Columbia Gas deregulation and delivery costs. <br /> <br />6. Ruth W. Buck, 111 Yorkshire Road, spoke in support of Cradock revitalization of the <br /> Cradock community. <br /> <br /> <br />
