Sandra Becker, P. O. Box 2187, voiced her concern with the budget cuts to the <br />Health and Emergency Response (HER) Shelter. She asked that Council amend <br />the budget and restore $46,200 to the HER Shelter. <br /> <br />2. Leslie Oliver Cox, 1341 Mt. Vernon Avenue, invited Council and citizens to the Clean <br />the Bay Day Events, 1 :00 p. m., Saturday, June 10, 2006 at City Park. <br /> <br />3. Sherry Warren, 155 Crawford Parkway, voiced her concern with the budget cuts to <br />the HER Shelter. She also thanked Council for revisiting the issue of budget cuts to <br />civic organizations. <br /> <br />4. Diane Griffin, 4100 Faigle Road, voiced her concern with budget cuts to civic <br />organizations. <br /> <br />5. Annie White-Guertin, P. O. Box 1183, voiced her concern with budget cuts to the <br />Portsmouth Area Resource Coalition (PARC). She also thanked Dr. Patton and <br />Council for revisiting the issue of budget cuts to civic organizations. <br /> <br />6. Vanessa Fields, 1513 Summit Avenue, asked for help in improving the quality of life <br />for residents on Summit Avenue. <br /> <br />'" Mayor Holley asked that Council, in concert, send a message to Management <br />that a plan needs to be implemented and formulated of how the City can improve <br />the quality of life in neighborhoods like Summit Avenue. <br /> <br />'" Councilman Whitehurst recommended that the City Manager and Staff come up <br />with a plan to take care of critical neighborhoods such as Summit Avenue. <br /> <br />'" Vice Mayor Moody asked that Staff come back to Council with a plan and cost of <br />what it would take to expand the CIP project, which has been started near <br />Summit Avenue, to include Summit Avenue. <br />
