<br />589 <br /> <br />February 28. 2006 <br /> <br />The subject matter of the meeting includes appointments to boards and <br />commissions, personnel matters, and the pending lawsuit over the Garden of Prayer. <br /> <br />The purpose of the meeting is to permit proper discussion of appointments, <br />personnel matters, and legal strategy. <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />Motion by Ms. Randall, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, pursuant to Section <br />2.2-3712(D) of the Code of Virginia, certifying that to the best of the Council Members' <br />knowledge during the immediately preceding Closed Meeting of the City Council: <br /> <br />1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting <br />requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and <br /> <br />2. Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which <br />the Closed Meeting was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in <br />the meeting by the City Council. <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />On motion, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />nita Y.
