November 22. 2005 05 - 542 - Items Submitted by Council Members '" Vice Mayor Moody wanted to thank Mr. Jim Spacek and the Mosquito Task Force for doing a terrific job this year in controlling the mosquito population and thanked Council for continued support in the budget. He also thanked the Army Corp of Engineers for partnering with the City to help control the mosquitoes. '" Councilwoman Psimas wanted to remind citizens of holiday activities happening Downtown. She noted that the Winter Wonderland's collection of little people is on display at the Courthouse Galleries from 10 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday and 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday. She also reminded citizens of the window art along High Street and of the Olde Towne Music Festival, Saturday, December 10, 2005 from noon until 7:00 p.m. '" Councilwoman Randall wanted to show her appreciation for the accomplishments that have been made by Council and City Staff. She also wanted to thank those City Staff members that have participated with her in visiting and listening to the concerns of citizens and wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. '" Vice Mayor Moody recognized and thanked Mr. Dan Aston for his contribution in the City of Portsmouth's success. '" Vice Mayor Moody reminded everyone of the Christmas Celebration in Cradock, 5:00 p.m., Saturday, December 3,2005 and encouraged all to participate. '" Vice Mayor Moody informed citizens that during the Public Work Session the sound barrier for 164 East was added to the Legislative Package for the General Assembly's consideration. He also asked for citizens' help in lobbying their State Senators and Delegates on this matter. 05 - 543 - Report on Pending Items There were no pending items.
