By reprogramming existing budgeted funds from various accounts within the <br />General Fund, this will provide additional funding to cover various contractual <br />services, property management, and maintenance and repairs expenditures <br />anticipated by the General Services Department through June 30, 2005. <br /> <br />Purpose and Need: <br /> <br />. Funding will be provided for the following: <br /> <br />1. Security services for various civic facilities. <br />2. Rental costs for various leased buildings/properties. <br />3. Other contractual services. <br />4. Maintenance and repair jobs. <br /> <br />. These funds will contribute to the City Council's vision of Neighborhood and <br />Community Transformation by producing safe public facilities and a state of the art <br />environment. <br /> <br />Financial Impact: <br /> <br />. No additional Operating Budget funding is necessary. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Whitehurst, and seconded by Ms. Randall, to adopt the following <br />ordinance, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />"ORDINANCE TO REPROGRAM $491,225 WITHIN THE 2004-2005 GENERAL <br />FUND FOR VARIOUS PROPOSED EXPENDITURES BY THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />GENERAL SERVICES." <br /> <br />Ayes: Heretick, Moody, Psi mas, Randall, Smith, Whitehurst, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />05 - 75 - Adoption of an ordinance to accept $310,430 from the Department of <br />Criminal Justice Services and to appropriate the same amount in the Grants Fund for <br />the Victim Witness Assistance Program. <br /> <br />This program provides comprehensive information and direct services to crime <br />victims and witness in accordance with Crime Victim and Witness Rights Acts <br />and other applicable victims' rights legislation.
