December 14, 2004 <br /> <br />Financial Impact: <br /> <br />· At the end of FY-04, a total of $37,954 was returned to the City of Portsmouth from <br />the healthcare services program for the inmates in the Jail. <br /> <br />· After reconciliation of the program services for the year, $14,632 is due back to the <br />healthcare services provided. No new funding is required. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Heretick, and seconded by Ms. Randall, to adopt the following <br />ordinance, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />"ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE FY 2004-05 OPERATING BUDGET BY <br />APPROPRIATING $14,632 IN THE GENERAL FUND FOR INMATE MEDICAL <br />SERVICES FOR THE PORTSMOUTH CITY JAIL." <br /> <br />Ayes: Heretick, Moody, Psimas, Randall, Smith, Whitehurst, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />04 - 480 - Adoption of an ordinance to reprogram $317,150 of FY 2004-2005 Operating <br />Budget funds appropriated in the General Fund for various initiatives related to <br />implementation of the City's Comprehensive Plan and the citywide development and <br />implementation of strategic operational systems. <br /> <br />Recommended Action: <br /> <br />· Adoption of an ordinance to reprogram $317,150 of FY2004-2005 Operating Budget <br />funds appropriated in the General Fund for various initiatives related to implementation <br />of the City's Comprehensive Plan and the citywide development and implementation of <br />strategic operational systems. <br /> <br />Summary: <br /> <br />· The reprogramming of existing budgeted funds in various accounts in the General <br />Fund will provide additional funding for urban design and employment services to be <br />directed toward implementation of the City's Comprehensive Plan and the citywide <br />development and implementation of strategic operational systems. <br /> <br />Purpose and Need: <br /> <br />· To provide funding to perform the following work: <br /> <br /> > Various urban design and planning initiatives related to implementation of the <br />City's Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br /> > Various leadership initiatives related to the citywide development and <br />implementation of a strategic operational systems approach and framework for project <br />management and administrative oversight. <br /> <br /> > Other services and assistance related to completion of the two items listed <br />above. <br /> <br />Financial Impact: <br /> <br />· No additional Operating Budget funding is necessary. <br /> <br />1.
