May 13, 2003 <br /> <br />UP-03-09 <br /> <br />Beginning at the northwest intersection of Seventh Street <br />and Randolph Street, thence in an easterly direction 540 <br />feet+/- to a point; thence in a southerly direction <br />approximately 340 feet +/- to a point; thence in a westerly <br />direction 660 feet +/- to a point; thence in a northerly <br />direction 340 feet +/- to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> 3. That the use permit is approved subject to the following conditions which <br />shall be observed by the applicant and any successor in interest: <br /> <br /> (a) The site layout plan shall generally be in accordance with the site plan <br />dated February 18, 2003. Any modifications shall be approved by the Director of <br />Planning and Zoning. <br /> <br /> (b) The landscaping plan shall be generally in accordance with the conceptual <br />landscaping plan date February 18, 2003. A detailed plan must be submitted at the <br />time of site plan submittal. Significant landscaping must be provided around any <br />outside storage area and around the trash disposal area. The Director of Planning and <br />Zoning shall approve the final landscaping plan. <br /> <br /> (c) The exterior facade of the facility shall be a mix of brick, split block and <br />metal as shown on the building elevations dated February 18, 2003. Minor <br />modifications may be approved by the Director of Planning and Zoning. <br /> <br /> (d) Trash removal shall be through private pick-up, which has been approved <br />by the Director of General Services. On-site dumpsters shall be screened and <br />enclosed. The Director of General Services must approve any changes to the approved <br />trash removal plan prior to implementation. <br /> <br /> (e) The applicant shall comply with all applicable codes, ordinances and <br />regulations of federal, state and local governments and shall obtain and maintain all <br />required licenses and permits. <br /> <br /> (f) All taxes and fees owed or collected in connection with the property and <br />operation shall be paid when due. <br /> <br /> 4. REVOCATION OF PERMIT: Violation of any of the above conditions may <br />serve as grounds for revocation of the use permit by the City Council." <br /> <br />Ayes: Benn, Griffin, Moody, Pitts, Randall, Whitehurst, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />- City Manager's Report - <br /> <br />03 - 170 - Adoption of a resolution authorizing the city to support increased investment <br />in public transportation at the state and federal levels in order to foster a successful <br />regional transportation network. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />· Adoption of a resolution authorizing the City to support increased investment in <br />public transportation at the state and federal levels. <br /> <br />Purpose and Need: <br /> <br />· To foster a successful regional transportation network that depends on all modes of <br />transportation, including mass transit and highways. <br /> <br />· To support Congress in growing the transit and highway funding levels through the <br />re-authorization of the Transportation Equity Act for the 21 st Century. <br /> <br /> <br />
