City owned facilities. <br /> <br /> "The 1993/94 Capital Improvement Plan authorized $10,000 <br />for backflow preventers at various other City buildings. These <br />devices prevent water from being drawn back into the water <br />line, and are required to bring these buildings into compliance <br />with State and City regulations. <br /> <br /> The project amount will cover the cost of materials for <br />the Civic Center, City Hall, and Portsmouth Sleepy Hole Golf <br />Course. The Director of General Operations has recommended <br />that $10,000 be appropriated to allow installation at these and <br />other City facilities as funding permits. This property <br />has been vacant for a number of years, and the City has no <br />further use for the site. A sale of this site by PRHA would <br />put it back on the tax roll. <br /> <br /> I, therefore, recommend adoption of this resolution giving <br />the City Manager authority to convey the property to PRHA upon <br />such terms and conditions as shall be in the best interest to <br />the City." <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Griffin, and seconded by Mr. Clemons, <br />adopt the following resolution, and was adopted by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br />to <br /> <br /> <br />
