.~ ~ ~he 14, 1994 <br /> <br /> I, therefore, recommend your approval of a transfer in the <br />amount of $23,221.from the Gr~nts Contingency Account for a <br />Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Secretary Senior position.'= <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. King, and seconded by Mr. Clemons, to <br />transfer $23,221 to provide a full-time support person to the <br />Lead Poison Prevention Program, and was adopted by the following <br />vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Clemons, Griffin, Hawks, King, Pitts, Webb <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />94-219 Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of a <br />motion to transfer $54,786 from the Grants Contingency Account <br />to purchase automation equipment necessary to make the Criminal <br />Information Management System (CRIMES) fully operational an our <br />City. <br /> <br /> "As a result of the City's participation in the regional <br />criminal justice information management system (CRIMES), we have <br />received $54,786. These funds were turned in by the City of <br />Norfolk, which is the project management agent for the region. <br />With the assistance of the Computer Services Department, the <br />Police Department will purchase the automation equipment <br />necessary to make CRIMES fully operational in our City. <br /> <br /> I, therefore, recommend the transfer of $54,786 from the <br />Grants Contingency Account for the purpose of purchasing the <br />automation equipment needed by the Police Department." <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. King, and seconded by Mr. Hawks, to transfer <br />$54,786 for the purchase of automation equipment for the Police <br />Department, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Clemons, Griffin, Hawks, King, Pitts, Webb <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />94-220 - Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of a <br />motion to award a contract to Tri-State Utilities for repairs to <br />cave-ins in the City's existing storm drainage system. <br /> <br /> Funds were recently appropriated for the repair of cave-ins <br />in the City's existing storm drainage system. Bids were <br />received on June 1, 1994 for lining a 30" drain line in the <br />Kingman ~eights neighborhood which contazns numberous cave-ins. <br />The cost of the work is itemized as follows: <br /> <br />Construction Contract (Tri-State Utilities) $46,400 <br /> <br /> The Director of Public Works recommends award of a contract <br />to the low bidder, Tri-State Utilities. Sufficient funds are <br />available from previous appropriations to complete this work. <br /> <br /> I concur with the Director of Public Works and recommend <br />your approval of this item." <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Clemons, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, <br />a contract to Tri-State Utilities for cave-in repairs, <br />adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />to award <br />and was <br /> <br />Ayes: Clemons, Griffin, Hawks, King, Pitts, Webb <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> <br />
