Kopelove to be appointed to a term of three years, <br />effective June 30, 1994, replacing Dr. James Cornetta. <br /> <br />Daniel A. Tyson to be appointed to a term of three years, <br />effective June 30, 1994, replacing Drema A. Hymon. <br /> <br />Parks & Recreation Commission <br /> <br />James C. Currie to be appointed to a term of three years, <br />effective July 1, 1994, replacing Penny Barham. <br /> <br />Robert D. williams to be appointed to a term of three years, <br />effective July 1, 1994, replacing James C. Scb-mus. <br /> <br />Hampton Roads P]~inq District Commission <br /> <br />V. Wayne Orton to be reappointed for a term of two years, <br />effective June 30, 1994. <br /> <br /> Johnny M. Clemons to be reappointed for a term of two years, <br /> effective June 30, 1994. <br /> <br /> Sports Authority of Hampton Roads <br /> <br />Morton V. Whitlow to be reappointed for a term of four years, <br />effective June 12, 1994. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Clemons, and seconded by Mr. King, to close <br /> the nominations, and there being no further nominations, the <br /> above were approved by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> 94-222 Items Submitted by Council Members <br /> <br /> There were no items submitted. <br /> <br /> 94-223 - Receipt of Other Communications <br /> <br /> There were no other communications. <br /> <br /> 94-224 - Continued Non-Agenda Speakers <br /> <br /> There were no other speakers. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Hawks, and seconded by Mr. King, to go into <br />Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of <br />the Code of Virginia for the following: <br /> <br /> (1) Consultation with the City Attorney and briefing by <br />staff regarding a legal matter involving 1964 Civil Rights Act <br />and its application to the City's work force, as permitted <br />under Subsection (A) (7). <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Clemons, and seconded by Mr. Pitts pursuant <br />to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to <br />the best of the Council member's knowledge during the <br />i~ediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: <br /> <br /> <br />
