<br /> Mr. Hall offered the following resolutions:

<br />the Dep~rtments and approved by their respective Chairmen, preceding the bills for whiSh such re-
<br />quisitions are made. No Department shall exceed its appropriations and that the City Auditor be in-
<br />structed to see that the ordinances relating thereto are enforced.
<br /> Second. That the Joint Finance Cs~mittee be authorized to advertise for bids to supply the soy-
<br />'ertl Departments with stationery, printing and ice to be used by them; and each Department shall fur-
<br />nish an estimate of such supplies as may be needed for it for the year 19il. The motion was adopted.
<br /> On motion of Mr. Brinson, the Auditor was instructed to transfer $t16.19 of funds for the redemp-
<br /> tion of bsnds te credit of the Bond Sinking Fund. The motion was adopted.
<br /> On motion of-~r. H~ll, the Ferry lessees were requested to change the signs on their buildings
<br />to read Norfolk and Portsmouth Ferries,instead of Eorfolk County Ferries.
