<br /> The report h~vingbeen read, the ordinance to incorporate County street entirely in the Sixth
<br />Ward was adopted by the following vote:
<br /> Ayes--~oore, Langhorne, ~Valker, Ballentine, Ad~.~m, Privett,
<br />Montague, ~alm~r, ~illigms, Murry, ~icho~o~ I1.
<br /> Mr. Montague objected to the adoption of the proposed ordinance concerning pay of the Police
<br />Force; he thought that all regularly employed policemen sh.ould receive the same pay per' dmy, namely,
<br />&2.50' and he moved to amend the said ordinmnce to that effect. _~he amendment was adopted; but after
<br />some further discussion of the m~tter the amendment was reconsidered a~ud the action of the Common Coun-
<br /> cil in adopting the recommendation of the Committee was concurred in, and by the following vote:
<br /> Ao-es--Moore, Langhorne~ ~lker, Adams, Privett, Williams, P~lmer, 7.
<br /> Nays--Ballentine, Eontague, 2.
<br /> Mr. Eontague then gave nstice that he would refer to this ordinance again under the head of ~new
<br />business."

<br />Gentlemen:--Your Cemetery Committee respectfully reports
<br />
<br />that the west wall of the Cedar Grove Cemetery has been moved out on a line with w~ll of the newer
<br />part of said Cemetery, at the contract price fo2 sa~e of $~00, and to the satisfaction of the Commit-
<br />tee, and that thirteen cemetery lots have been mmde hereby.
<br />
<br /> It is recommended thmt the City Engineer be instructed to make a plat of these lots, reserving
<br />in lot M a space ruwming throu~oh it 4 feet from east to wes~t, for a sewer pipe; ~nd it is further
<br />commended that the question of price for the lots be referred to the Joint Finance Committee.

<br /> To authorize the Joint Finemce Committee to advertise for bids to s~pply the severa~ departments
<br />with stationery, printing and ice used, by them; and each department shall furnish an estimmte of such
<br />supplies as may be needed for it for the year 1911~
<br />
<br /> To ma~ke the new ordinance for zsgulmting the pay of the Police Force go into effect l~arch 1,1911.
<br />
<br />All of the above were concurred in.
