P Referred by Common Council June 14th. To take up with the Virginia Railway & Power Company the matter of double tracking High street and its proportional pa~t of cost of same. We report that~ we have taken the matter up with said Company and are awaiting a reply from it concerning same. Recommitted. Advisability of using the City steam roller on Third street, between Lincoln and Fayette. We have requested the City Engineszto use the roller on this block as an experiment. A petition of S. F. Foxwell and sundry others to have paved sidewalks on Harrison street, be- tween Fifth and Sixth. We have referred this matter to the City Engineer for an estimate of cost of same. ~ petition of Dr. Joseph Grice to have paved with granolith the east side of Chestnut Street, from High to King.
