<br /> This proposed ordinance originated with an application of gr..Norman Cassell some months
<br />ago, for permission to build a~coal chute under the sidewalk to his "Law Building" on Hz~n street,
<br />~d a general ordinance to allow tunnelling under sidewalks has been under consideration of yo'~
<br />Committee since said application.
<br /> We report our inability~ so far, ~so perfect such an ordinance, for lack of more informa-
<br />tion on the subject, but pending the enactment of such an ordinance, we recommend that Er. Norman
<br />Cassell be permztted to.construc~ a tunnel Sft. Szn. wzae across, the szdswalk of Hzgh street, reach-
<br />ing his property known as the "Law Building," in accordance with his plan for same submitted ~o this
<br />Committee$ the work to be done under ~he supervision of the ~ty ~ '
