<br /> Mr. Parker explained the matter, and then the section, together with the other sections re-
<br />ferred for concurrence, were concurred in and by the following vote:

<br /> The Board concurred also in all recommendations of Committees~adopted by the Common Coun-
<br />cil, Bxcept the recommendation of the Finance Committee to appropriate $10,000.00 for purchase of
<br />the ,Phillips-Mahoney property" for a playground for children, which said matter was referred to the
<br />Finance Committee to furnish data regarding size of said property and cost of approach to same through
<br />the Emmerson property on Court street.

<br /> The Mayor returned' his approval of the~' folloWing matters adopted by ~the two branches of City

<br />of the Police DePartment.
<br /> A special appropriation of $3,062~69 ~o pay a hill of Perry W. Ruth.& Co., Inc., held up by the
<br />Auditor for work done on Chestnut street.
<br /> Special appropriations of $?00.00 for Street Cleaning; $BO0~O0 for Trash & Garbage; and $300.00
<br />for Street Repairs.
<br /> $130.Z6 to pay a bill of F. J. McGuire for interest on note given him for work in the Sixth Ward,
<br />out of Sixth Ward funds.
<br /> To transfer to accounts of Labo~ and Coal certain balances to credit of the Cemetery Department,

<br /> A special appropriation of $185.00 to pay certain election bxlls.
<br /> To authorize the Treasurer to renew notes to amount of $117,000.00, falling due in December.
<br /> To instruct the Auditor to pay a bill for $285.00, when prooerly approved by the Fire Committee,
<br />out of $~00.00 appropriated for a horse to take the place of a b~lky horse in the Fire Department.
