<br />rehabilitation of the Churchland Bridge. Construction bids were
<br />received on July 12, 1994 for repairs and reinforcement to the
<br />structural steel of the bridge. (See Attachment No. 1).

<br /> The total anticipated cost of the project is itemized as

<br />an appropriation in the amount of $230,000.

<br />94-297 - Letter from the City Manager reconu~ending adoption of
<br />an ordinance to appropriate $20,000 from the Capital
<br />Improvements Fund for engineering services to the Edinburgh
<br />Square Parking Garage, and a motion to award the contact to
<br />McPherson and Associates.
<br />
<br /> "Funds are identified in the 1993-94 Capital Improvement
<br />Plan for repairs to the Edinburgh Square Parking Garage. The
<br />first phase of the necessary repairs is to replace the ramps to
<br />the upper parking deck levels.
<br />
<br /> At this time, it is necessary to award the contract for
<br />engineering services to McPherson and Associates, the firm
<br />selected through the public procurement process, and to
<br />appropriate the necessary funds to complete this work.
<br />
<br /> Therefore, the Director of Public Works recommends award of
<br />the design contract to McPherson and Associates and an
<br />appropriation in the amount of $20,000 to complete this work.
