<br /> The report having been read, ~r. Privett moved to adopt the several recommendations of same.
<br /> Mr. Markham moved to amend, to adopt silk,he recommendations, except therecommendation that
<br />the Committee be authorized to advertise for bads for a police telephone system.
<br /> Afte~ some discussion cf the matter, the amendment by Mr. Markh~ was lost.
<br /> Then the report, as a whole, was adopted and by the following vote.:

<br />herein concerning the following matters re~erred ~o the Joint Committee on Claims February ll, 1915:

<br /> A comm~anication from'G. Hatton, attorney for F. H~ Miller, eoncerning a horse, buggy and harness
<br />belonging to Mm. Miller, which were damaged by a collision with the Hook & Ladder truck.
<br /> We report that we have fully investigated this matter, and the evidence was to the effect
<br />that Mr. Miller's buggy with hgrse attached was in proper position, in accordance, with the Traffie~
<br />Ordinance, with an attendant, i5 addition to the horse being tied. The Hook ~nd Ladder tr~ck knife-
<br />spending to an alarm of fire on December 19th~ ran into the rear of buggy, demolishing it, destroying
<br />harness and in~urin~ horse. The evidence is to the effect that this accident was brought about thro~
<br />ugh the fact that the engine of No. ~ Company.was ahead of the truck, and for some reason slackened
<br />
