<br /> The regular reports of Officers for November, 1911 were presented and were ordered to take

<br /> On motion, the bills were referred to the Joint Finance Committee.

<br /> A communication was received from the City Engineer in .regard ~o the question of sewering
<br />Randolph street, between Second and Third~ referredto him by Council September 12-19th, in
<br />which he stated that it would cost about $611.00 to sewer said street, between Second and Third.
<br /> On motion, the communication was ordered to file.
<br />

<br /> N~r. B~inson presented the following resolution:
<br /> "Resolved, That the Joint Special Commit-
<br />tee of the Council and B. M. A. on Public Dock consider the feasibility and advisability of a
<br />canal from the ~at Hole to Court street, or as much of the same as they consider advisable."
<br />
<br />On motion, the resolution ~as adopted.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Reynolds moved that the attention of the Street Committee be called to the condition
<br />of pavement on Third street, between Fayette &nd Nelson. 2~eDme~men wa adopted.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Mr. ~ali, the Street Committee was instructed to ascertain who is responsible
<br />for the conditio~ of pipe on the Glasgow street bridge.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Johnson moved to refer to the Light Committee the advisability of a light at the corner
<br />of Chestnut and Queen streets. The motion was adopted.
<br />
<br /> ~ne Chairman of the Finance Committee requested that the Chairmen and Vice-Ghairmen of ~he
<br />several Council committees appear before the Finance C~mmittee to discuss ~he Seeds of their
<br />Departments for the year 1915. ~-~

<br /> On motion of Mr. Parrish, the rules were sus~oended to hear from several citizens present.
<br /> Mr. Mulvey sl~e first, u~ing the necessity of opening Ce~ke street, between King
<br />and High, but no action was~taken thereon by the Council~
<br /> Attorney Winston Parrish spoke in the interest of the late assessors of ~ity real es-
<br />tate, urging that the City pay a reasonable amount for their services, suggesting $300~00 each
<br />as such reasonable amount. .
<br /> Er. Tyler suggested that the Commonw~lth Attorney should be paid for his services ~
