L. Thomas, Captain Signal Corps of Virginia Volunteers~ to be furnished <br />with a room in the new arrangement o£ City offices. <br /> Progress as to same. <br /> <br />Authorized .to advertise for bids to build a new Clerk's office. <br /> ~e have so advertised and expect to receive bids for the same on February 6th next. <br /> <br />Referred by Board of Aldermen December 19th. <br /> <br /> R~committed. He spoke~ urging an appropriation of $10, <br />000~00 for the purpose named. <br /> On motion, the appropriation asked for was referred ~o the Joint Finance Committee. <br /> <br />Police-- <br /> <br />Hon. Ce~non Council. <br /> <br />Gentlemen:-~ <br /> <br />herein concerning the following matters referred <br /> <br />Tour Police Committee respectfully reports <br />to the Join~ Police Committee November 21, <br /> <br />Referred by Board of Aldermen November Slst. <br /> <br />1911: <br /> <br /> A request of James Talbot, policeman, for an increase of pay equal to that now being re- <br />ceived by ali other regular patrolmen of the City police force. <br /> It is race, ended that he receive $~.50 per day fo~ each day, after one year's ser- <br />vice as a regular policeman. <br /> And in this connection, it is ~urther recommended that the ordinance regulating the <br />pay of policemen be so amended as to pay all policemen $~.50 per day for each day of their ser- <br />vice on the police force after lZ months of such service, and that the ordinance shall take ef- <br />fec~ from it's passage. <br /> <br />Instructed to ascertain tha.-od~t of maintenance of a police patrol wagon and horse. <br /> <br /> <br />
