Gentlemen:~ Your Ordinance Cor~ittee respectfully re- ports herein concerning the following mat{ers re:letted to the Joint 0rdina~ce Committee Augus~ 15-~0, 1912: Referred by Co~z~on Council Augpst 15th. An ordinance to make permanent the positions of all paid men of the Fire Department. ~e report that we are of the opinion that the present method o£ selecting these men is best, and recommend tha~ no change in manner of selectionbe made. An ordinance to require all paid men of the Fire Department to be uniformed at their own expense. We report that we consider such an ordinance inadvisable, as. t?~ matter may be best attended to by the several companies. An-ordinance to cover proposed regulations for the Fire Department.
