<br /> To authorize the Street Committee to continue the laying of granolithic sidewalks to the
<br />extent of appropriations now a~aiiable, at a cost of 4.95 per sq. yd.
<br /> To authorize the Public Property Committee to expend the sum of $100.00 allowed for lower-
<br />zng floor at the Annex fire engine house, for other much needed improvements in the same house.
<br /> All of the above were concurred in, except the section in regard to directing the Pub-
<br />lic Property Committee to put lights in the City offices in the ferry building, the cost of same
<br />to b~ deducted from rent of said offices; which:said section was not concurred in.

<br /> The Board concurred also in all recommendations of Comn~ittees adopted by the Con, on
<br />Council, except the recommendation of the Street Committee in regard to a bill of the Sixth Ward
<br />to amount of ~IlS;BE, as the City's proportion of cost for paving at the intersection of Chest-
<br />nut and County streets, which matter was recommitted to the Street Committee, with request that
<br />said Committee render a more definite recommendation as to cost for paving.

<br />help facilitate the work of the two named o~fices, and that of the Police Justice, should one
<br />be made. I respectfully request .that you refer this matter to your Public Property Committee
<br />with a view of purchasing for the above named offices jointly a typewriter% I would hems state
<br />that I have caused to be placed in the Police Department (Chief's office),xor exhibition~ ~ type-
