<br />a spur track on the Gat Hole wharf, to connect with tracks of~the Seaboard Ai~ Line Railway.
<br /> On motion, said petition was referred to the Street Committee.

<br />ner of Washington and Carroll streets, and said petition was referred to the Light Committee.

<br /> Mr. Moore was allowed the privilege of the floor. He stated thaz the Committee on ~aval
<br />Affaire~ together with other representatives in Consress~ would visit here in a short while for
<br />the purpose of insoecting ~he Navy Yard; that they ought ~o be entertained by Norfolk and Ports-
<br />mouth while here; ~hat he Underst6od that Norfolk wo~l~ &ire $45~.00 or $500.00 towards such en-
<br />tertainment and he would auggest that Portsmouth contribute at least SS00.00 for the same pur-
<br />pose.
<br /> Whereupon~ on motion, the matter of an appropriation ~f SE00.O0 for entertaining the Con-
<br />gressional Committee was referred to the Finance Committee.
