<br /> The Board concurred in all recommendations of Committees adopted by the Common Coun-
<br />cil, except: recommendation of Public Property Committee to put a phone connection in office
<br />of the City Collector, the matter of a straight phone, instead of a comuection, in said office
<br />being referred to Finance and Public Property committees; recommendation of Sewerage Committee
<br />with regard to Board of 'Examination for Plumbers, which was referred back to Sewerage Committee
<br />with Ordinance Committee; and recommendation of Finance Committee to allow certain bills held
<br />up by the Auditor because of lack of appropriation or because they exceeded 1/12 of appropria-
<br />tion for same.

<br /> The Board concurred also with the Common Council in making award to T. W. Thomas 'Roof-
<br />ing Co. to repair roof of the Sewer Power House, with proviso that said Company give the guaran-
<br />tee given by E. H. O~enhall & 8ons to do said work. ~

<br /> On motion, the body a~hered to its former action in authorizing the Treasurer to renew
<br />notes to. amount of ~20,860.55, falling due in July, 1914.

<br /> The Mayor submitted~a communication from the Chief of Firs'Department enclosing a com-
<br />plaint from the driver of hose wagon of Annex Fire Co. in reference to a horse which it seemed
<br />impossible to use in the Fire Department, &c.

<br /> On motion, the request to borrow $20,000. was referred to Finance Committee, and that
