<br /> The report having been read, Mr. Whitehurst moved that the recommendation to allow Fort
<br />Nelson Chapter, D. A. R., to place a "memorial" to Commodore Richard Dale on the old jail lot
<br />be recommitted. The motion was adopted.
<br /> He nex~ moved that the recommendation in regard to dividing the City into thre~= school dis-
<br /> tricts, &c., be recommitted. The motion was adopted.
<br /> Then the report of the Committee was adopted as amended, the recommendad appropriation
<br />of $~0,000. to purchase sites for school buildings and the extra amount of $14Z.68 needed for
<br />work on public buildings being referred to Finance Commit~tee.

<br />ment to the "Traffic Ordinance" was propsrly on the table, although it had been recommitted; but
<br />as some question arose as to the fact. off. the ordinance being on the table, the rules were sus-
<br />pended in order to consider its passage.
<br /> Then on motion, the ordinance, with the following title, was adopted:
