<br />work no~ herein specified, $15.00; but if the contractor or sub-contractor engage in painting
<br />and paper-handing together, $20.00.

<br />const~ct or repair houses~for the purpose of selling or renting the same, and not employing
<br />thersfo~ a contractor or person who shall act as superintendent who ha6 paid the license tax,
<br />as above provided, $25.00. No license required under this section shall be transferred.

<br /> Each person, firm or corporation who shall engage ~n the business of supplying water throughI
<br />pipes o~rmains, not operating under contract with the cmty, one-half of one per cent. from gross
<br />receipts of same.

<br /> Each case in which a license is not designated in thais tax ordinance a specific tax of $25.
<br />is hereby imposed.

<br /> Each per,on, firm or corporation doing business at more than one place, stall or stand,
<br />shall be required to take out a separate license for each of such places, stalls or stands.
<br />
<br /> If any person, firm or corporation shall 9ommence or engage in any business, Srads~ calling
<br />or profession or employment on which a tax is mmposed by this ordinance, without first ~aying
<br />the tax imposed, he or they shall be fined not less than $5. or more than $100.00; and each day's
<br />failure te obtain the license after proper notice therefor, shall constitute a separate offense.
<br />
<br /> Each pezson, firm o= corporation required to pay a license tax under the provisions of this
<br />ordinance shall post and keep posted in a conspicuous place the receipt for said payment, and
<br />any one violating this provision shall be subject toga fine of not less than $~. and not more
<br />than $10. for each and every day or part of a day that said receipt is not kept posted.

<br /> It is made the duty of the police department to report to the mayo~ of the city any viola-
<br />tion of this ordinance which may come under X~notice.
<br />
<br /> Each person, firm or corporation, company~ partnership.~ ~so~iatig~ ~i~ble to. a.~icense
<br />tax under this ordinance-shall, before being granted a icert~ca~e zor obma~n~ng such ~zcense,
<br />be required to certify under oath to the Commissioner of Revenue their actual~or probable eom-
<br />missions, and to the other interrogatories of said commissioner applicable to the business to
<br />be pursued.
