<br /> It is recommended that the petition be granted, provided the work be done under the
<br />supervision and t~.approval ~f the City Engineer.

<br /> ~ request of the Va. Ry._& Power Co. that it be given a franchise to occupy certain streets
<br />of the City as shown by accompanying plat, and also to be allowed to abandon tracks marked on
<br />the plat.
<br /> We report that we do not think it advisable to take up the question of franchise with
<br />the Company at this time~ but will recommend, instead, that it be requested to extend its tracks
<br />on Glasgow street, from Godwin to Wilson,and along~.Wilson to Spratley.
<br />
<br /> It is further recommended that an appropriation of $500. be allowed to repair the
<br />~wimming Point Bridge.
<br />
<br /> It is further recommended that an appropriation of $~0. be provided in the Budget of
<br />1~i5 to improve unsanitary.condition cf section Of Park View in remr and to side of ~1~34 B.
<br />street, a~d the dead end of Armstrong street at this Point.

<br /> It is recommended further that an appropriation of $1E8. be allowed to repair wharf
<br />at the east end of High street.
