<br /> Mr. Davis then stated that he would ask for a suspension of the rules with a view of a-
<br />dopting the ordinance with regard to authorizing the assistant to the City Clerk to perform a
<br />certain part of his office work during his absence from office, &~..
<br /> Mr. Markham objected to suspension of rules for that p?mrpose. However,~ the rules were
<br />suspended and on motion to adopt the ordinance~ it was adopted by the following vote~:

<br />of Examination for plumbers. He moved that the matter be referred back to the Ordinance Commi~-
<br />tee with the Sewerage Committee for further consideration. The motion was adopted.

<br />repairing the roof of the Sewer Power House... the body. concurred withthe Common Council.in a-
<br />greeing to mkke award to T, W. Thomas Roofzng Go., w~th proviso that the said Company gmve the
<br />same guarantee aa that given by E. H. Odenhatl & Son.
