<br /> There was a long discussion between Mr. Davis and the City Attorney concerning the
<br />merits of the compromise appropriation for $5,000.00 but finally, on motion of N~. Ballentine,
<br />the Board concurred xn action of the Common Council and by the following vote:

<br /> The Mayor submitted a communication from the Chief of Fire Department enclosing a compla~iuut
<br />from the driver of hose wagon of Annex Fire Co. in reference to a horse which it seemed impos-
<br />sible to use in the Fire Department &c.

<br />mittee for investigation and report.
