'November 17, 1914. Geo. R. Debnam: Annex~oree~Joe, Baby, ~85.00~ Chambers' horse Buck, $60.00; Park View horse, H. L. Alexander: Buck, $37.~0; Joe, $37.50; Baby~$15~.O0. It is recommsnded that award be made to Geo. to W. J. Price for "Bay" horse, for$91.50; and to H. They being the highest bidders for same. R. Debnam for "Buck" horse, for $80.00; L. Alexander for "Baby" hor~e, for $153.00. There were no bids received to sell a new horse to the City. Referred by Common Council Sept. 8th. A communication from the B. M. A. calling attention to the need of a fire plug at the cor- ner of South street, extended, and Des Moines avenue. We report that we deem it inexpedient to put a fire plug at said location on~ account of lack of water pressure there. (~i gned) Lorenzo Cart, Acting Chmn. B. of A. Advisability of an ordinance to regulate traffic of automobiles at street cozmers when street cars ars passing. It is recommended that s~-~e~lion "D" of section 38~ of the ordinances of the City be amended to cover this matter, a~d that the following, be adopted therefor: An Ordinance to Amend and Re-ordain S~b-section "D" of Section ~83, Entitled, An Ordinance for the Geaeral Rules of the~Road. Board of Aldermen. Gentlemen:-- Your Cemetery Committee respectfully re- ports herein concerning the following matters referred to the Joint Cemetery Committee October 13, 1914: Referred by Common Council October 13th. A request of L. S. Stephenson and J. C. Ellis. for the transfer of a cemetery lot from J. S. Perry, W. E. Cuthrell, L. S. Stephenson and J. C. Ellis to L. S. Stephenson and J. C. Ellis. It is recommended that said transfer be made, provided the City Attorney approve the sams and that it be done at no cost to the City. A request of Mrs. ~i~la Ballentine to have her Sarah Martin. . Gentlemen:-- Your Light Committee respectfully reports herein concerning the following matters referred to the Joint Light Oommittee October 1S-SO, 1914: Referred by Common Council Octobe~ 13th. Advisability of a light at the corner of Dinwiddie a~ King streets. It is recommended that a light be placed at this corner. for To investigate the lights of the White ~ay and ascertain if proper lighting is supplied. It is recommended that an appropriation of $300. be made to purchase a~testing machine lights.
