The report of the Committee having been read, theChairman of the Committee remarked that, as the first section of the report carried with it an appropriation, whichsaidapprepriation had been rejected in the report of the Finance Committee, he would move that said section of the Street report be struck out; and he so moved. GentAemen.-- Your Public P~eperty Committee re- spectfu!ly reports herein concerning the following matters referred to the Joint-Public Property Committee November lO-l?th, 1914: Referred by Common Council November 10th. Authorized to advertise for bids to furnish Jail Supplies ~or the year 1915. Progress as to same. Referred by Board of Aide,men November l?th. A petition of the School Board to be allowed to use the old Jail lot for the purpose of e- recting a temporary house, to take care of the~overflow in the High~¢hool building. It is recommended that said petition be granted and that the ordinance setting forth the fire districts be amended so as to permit the erection of such a building. (~ith Finance Committee) A request of the School Board to be provided~with suitable offices for the Superintendent of Schools and the Clerk of saidBoard, in either the Municipal Building or the frame building in the rear of same. It is recommended that the School Board be allowed the two up-stairs rooms in the A~- mistead Building for such purpose, provided said Board pay for fitting up the same.
