<br /> The regular reports of 0fficers for the month of April, 1915, were presented and were or-
<br />dered to take the usual course.

<br /> The following opinion was read from the City Attorney "as to rights of the City to use the
<br />north end of Middle street for a public dock," said opinion-having been requested April 13-~0th,
<br />upon recommendation of the Ferries & Public Docks Committee: (See records of Common Council
<br />May ll~h, l~l~, Page S85).
<br />
<br /> 'The following sections of the License Tax Ordinance for 1915-16 agreed to in Joint Session
<br />May 7th, were taken up .and a~opted as follows:
<br /> Sec'rich 5. .Each per.son, firm or corporation
<br /> or hot water fitting, or e~ther, in addition' to the
<br />conducting the business of plumbing, steam
<br />merchant's tax required by this ordinance, $Z5.00."

<br />Section $6: "Each person~ firm or oozlooration conducting a garage for the storage and re-
<br />pair of autOmobmlss, $?5; for the repair of ~automobiles only, ~§; or agent, for the sale-of au-
<br />tomobiles, resident or non-resident, $75.00~ .
<br /> "Each private automobile, a flat tax of $5.00.
<br /> "Each {notorcycle, Ss.50."

<br /> section 88. .Each resident or non-resident automobile for hire, $SO. 00, and it shall 'be in
<br />lieu of all other City License Tax."

<br /> A communication was read from the Clerk Of Market stating that he had been unable to col-
<br />lect stall rent in the City Market from Wade H. Codd and W. S. Woodard to amounts of $S5.00 and
<br />$1S. 50, respectivelY.
<br /> On motion, the proper Officers were instructed to collect this rent.
<br />
<br /> Bonds of N. V. Pearson, Master Plumber, an'd W. L. Baunett, J~rneym~u Plumber, elected
<br />by the two branches of Council May 7, 1915, were presented and were referred to the Finance Com-
<br />mit tee.

<br /> A petition was read from the Plumbing Board for an appropriation of $50.

<br />tility of Grimes Battery to the City were read and were ordered to fils.
