To direct the placing on the Court House square by Fort Nelson Chap., D. to Commodore Richard Dale. W~ report that we will direct the placing of this "memorial." herein concerning the following matters a A. R~, aJ"memorial" A petition of the Portsmouth Library~Association to be re-imbursed to amount of $35.00 for g~anolithic walk leading to the public library; said walk having been laid by-private parties. It is recommended that the Portsmouth Library Association be re-imbursed to said amount~ Attention called to bad condition of floors of the Union Fire House. We report that said condition has been remedied. Need of a fence around the Union Fire House and of a hose dryer for the Union Fire Company. Progress as to same. Referred by Board of Aldermen May tBth. A communication from the Sanitary Inspector concerning screening the C~ty Max~ket. It is recommended that an appropriation of $300. be allowed to screen and repair the meat and fish markets. It is further recommended that award be made to T. the Nnnicipal Building for (Signed) L. Cain, Vice-Chairman. roof .The report having been read~ Mr. Langhorne moved to amendlby rejecting ~he recommendation to re-imburse the Portsmouth Library Association for granolithic walk leading to the public lib- rary. The amendment was adopted. that the recommended appropriation of $~00. to screen and repair Mr. 8art moved to amend, the meat and fish markets be allowed a~ once. Mr. Langhorne moved to amend by allowing the $~00.00, or as much ~ the same as necessary, to screen and repair the meat and fish markets. The amendment was adopted. vo~e.
