<br />at a cost of $6~.?~, and that a superintendent for the work shall be employed at a cost of
<br />the whole amount of such awards being within the appropriation of $2,000. allowed by Council
<br />for such work.

<br /> It is recommended that an appropriation of $50. be allowed for a fence around the
<br />Union Fire House and that the Committee be given authox~lty to act im the matter.

<br /> It is further recommended that the Auditor be authorized to pay bills for work on room
<br />for the Plumbing inspector in the Armistead Buil~ing when the bills are approved by the Public
<br />Property Committee.

<br /> It is fu~her recommended that the Committee be authorized to advertise for bids for
<br />a heating plan~ and for water and sewerage pipe connections at the City .Jail, amd that t.he~ be
<br />empowered to make award for the work, $?50. h~ving been appropriated by Council for same} the~y

<br />three feet, and he hoped that the Public Property Committee ou~d construe the matter liberally.

<br />appropriations being referred to the Finance Committee, with the exception of appropriation for
<br />heating plant at the Jail, that ~eeommendation being adopted without reference to the Finance
