The City Engineer requests <br />permission to exceed the 25% limit on change orders to-the <br />design contract to complete these revisions. Sufficient funds <br />remain from previous appropriations to complete th~S work; <br />therefore, no additional appropriation is required. <br /> <br /> I, therefore, recommend your approval of this item." <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Hawks, to <br />grant permission to exceed the 25% limit on the design contract <br />for the new Churchland Fire Station, and was adopted by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Griffin, Hawks, Pitts, Robinett, Webb <br />Nays: Clemons, Martin <br /> <br />94-444 Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption ~f <br />a motion to transfer $219,555 from the Grants Contingency <br />Account for the continuation of five Community Services Board <br />programs. <br /> <br /> "The Executive Director of the Community Services Board <br />has informed me that the Co~unity Services Board has been <br />awarded five grants totaling $219,555. These grants are to be <br />used to Continue the delivery of services in areas of early <br />intervention services to toddlers, teen pregnancy prevention <br />and substance abuse treatment in the City Jail. The grants <br />awarded are as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. The Early Intervention Program for developmentally <br />delayed infants and toddlers has received funding in the amount <br />of $102,877. These funds were made available by the General <br />Assembly and will be used to continue staff who will coordinate <br />the activities of Portsmouth Parents and Children Together. <br />There is no local match requirement for these funds. <br /> <br /> 2. The Early Intervention Program also received $11,844 <br />in supplemental funding to continue part-time staff for direct <br />service provision and data collection. There is no local match <br />requirement. <br /> <br /> <br />
