<br />Retiremen~System.

<br /> "At your Council meeting of October 25, 1994, you decided
<br />to give the Board of Trustees of the Portsmouth Supplemental
<br />Retirement System the authority to select its chairman from its
<br />membershipl In order to 'accommodate yOUr request, it is
<br />necessary to adopt an ordinance to amend Section 30-54 of the
<br />City Code (Retirement Code) to give the Board such authority.

<br />a resolution appointing viewers to close Wavy Street between
<br />the eastern right-of-way line of Ruth Brown Avenue and the
<br />western right-of-way line of First Street, and a lane bounded
<br />by Randolph Street and Wavy Street, and Ruth Brown Avenue and
<br />First Street.

<br /> "The Economic Development Department is continUing to work
<br />with prospects for PortCentre. In order to facilitate the
<br />development of the PortCentre sites, a street and alley need to
<br />be closed. Specifically, a portion of Wavy Street between Ruth
<br />Brown Avenue and First Street as well as an alley that is in
<br />the middle of Wavy, Randolph and Third Streets, and Ruth Brown
<br />Avenue must be closed. The Notice of Application and Request
<br />for Appointment of Viewers has been advertised.
