<br /> The report having been read, Mr. Browne noted that there was present a delegation of
<br />the alumni of the Portsmouth High School~ who wished to spe~k in regard to a new High School
<br />building, and he would move a suspension of 'the rule~ to hear from them.

<br /> ~tv. L. B. Plumme= then resui a set of resolutions representing the views of $~id alumni
<br />and he spoke for same. On motion, the resolutions were referred to the Pub!io Property &
<br />Schools Committee.
<br /> Mr~ Nark*ham desired to know from the Public P~operty & SchooleComJ~ittee why they had
<br />not followed instructions and n~med sites and options for the proposed new buildings.
<br /> Th~ Ch~irma~ of the Committee replied that his Committee understood they were to inves-
<br />tigate for the Council and, being themselves satisfied that the sites and options were suit-
<br />able, the Council would be satisfied.
<br /> ~nereupon~ Mr. Wilson moved to ~dopt the report of the Committee.
<br /> Mr. Markham, to amend, that the report be adopted, except as to recommended appropri-
<br />ation of ~5,000o00, and that said appropriation be sent back to the Committee for a report
<br />in full a~ to sites and p~ices. The motion was lost.
