Hon. Common Council--Board of Aldermen.

Gentlemen:-- Your Cemetery Committee

respectfully reports herein concerning the following m~t~ters referred to the Joint Cemetery
Committee January t4, 1916:

Referred by Common Council J~nuary 14th.

Advisability of purchasing the Guthrie Property adjoining the Oak Grove Cemetery.
~e report that the Committee have looked into this matter and find the property con-
tains about two (2) acres, or 150 lots of the usual size; that 100 of said lots are available
at present with little preparation, and at a small cost for enclosure of the whole. The price
for the property is $2,500.00, provided purchase of same is agreed to by the Council in sixty
(60) days~ and provided further that a small enclosed lot in this tract is reserved undisturb-
ed, for which m deduction of $5©. from the above amount will be allowed.

We believe that the purchase of this property is desirable and neoesss~ry pending
the ac~ui~ition and preparation of any Is~rger tract for cemetery purposes; and it is recommend-
ed that ss~id property be purchased.

Reoommitted. Advisability of cutting a gateway in the Oak Grove Cemetery,
side, for convenience.of citizens in the Sixth ~ard.
Progress ms to same.
