H. Beiote & Son to supply rations, said <br />firm being the lowest bidder for same; and to J. N,.Dews to furnish medicines, with instructions <br />that he shall not fuznish any Droprietmry medicines, bandages, water bags, ac., except upon <br />requisition si~ned by either the Chairm~n or Vice-Chairman of the Almshouse Committee; and that <br />the City Attorney be instructed to draft contracts with said firms for these supplies. <br /> <br />Referred by Common Council November 9th. <br /> <br /> A bill of J. Common Council--Board of Aldermen. <br /> <br />Gentlemen:-- Your Cemetery Committee <br /> <br />respectfully reports herein concerning the following m~t~ters referred to the Joint Cemetery <br />Committee January t4, 1916: <br /> <br />Referred by Common Council J~nuary 14th. <br /> <br /> Advisability of purchasing the Guthrie Property adjoining the Oak Grove Cemetery. <br /> ~e report that the Committee have looked into this matter and find the property con- <br />tains about two (2) acres, or 150 lots of the usual size; that 100 of said lots are available <br />at present with little preparation, and at a small cost for enclosure of the whole. The price <br />for the property is $2,500.00, provided purchase of same is agreed to by the Council in sixty <br />(60) days~ and provided further that a small enclosed lot in this tract is reserved undisturb- <br />ed, for which m deduction of $5©. from the above amount will be allowed. <br /> <br /> We believe that the purchase of this property is desirable and neoesss~ry pending <br />the ac~ui~ition and preparation of any Is~rger tract for cemetery purposes; and it is recommend- <br />ed that ss~id property be purchased. <br /> <br /> Reoommitted.
