A. L. Railway Co. <br /> We report that this corxlition ha~ been remedied. <br /> <br /> In connection with Street Paving, it is further recommended that the Virginia Rail- <br />way & Power Co. be permitted to use a 70 lb. T rail with "nose brick" next to the rail on the <br />inside for a finish, on Washington, Cooke, and Efflngham streets, on account of said Company's <br />inability to get Girder rails; and in this connections it is further recommended that the Con- <br />tractor be permitted to use the fire hydrants for the purpose of getting water with which to <br />run his mixer in connection with putting down the concrete. <br /> <br />Firming it necessary to purchase a new Sweeper, we request that we be permitted to <br />use the $200. for "Repairs to Sweeper" a~_d $125. out of "Repairs to B=ooms" in the Budget of <br />1916. That in regard to the site for the new high <br />school building~ the block of ground bounded by High St., Fourth Ave., Queen St., and Third Ave- <br />nue has been selected for the same, a~d that options have been secured upon all this property, <br />the purchase price to be $19,500.00. <br /> <br /> 2o That the site selected for the colored school is the block of ground bounded on three <br />sides by Cliffo=d St., Chestnut St. .~a~.i.
