A. Hut- <br /> chins, Jr., a member of the Board of H~rbor 'Commissioners, in regard to Gander Creek. <br /> The mo~i~ was adopted. <br /> Mr. Hurry,ins spoke in substance as follows: Hs said that he represented the Board of <br /> Harbor Commissio~ in the m~ttsr of survey of Gander Creek; that the Harbsr Commissioners <br /> were unable at this time to take any steps in the matter, because all blueprints andplans <br /> for Port Warden lines of Gander Creek h~ui been lost in the fire mt the old Atlantic Hotel some <br /> years ago, and he suggssted~ therefore, that the Council would take some further action there- <br /> on. <br /> Whereupon, on motion, the matter of lines for Gander Creek was referred to the Street <br /> Committee, with the City Engineer and City Attorney. <br /> <br />Ordinances-- <br /> <br />Hon. <br /> <br />Common Council--Board of Aldermen. <br /> Gentlemen:-- You~ Ordinance Committee <br /> <br />respectfully reports herein concerning the following matters referred to the Joint Ordinance <br />Committee April~lSth, 1916: <br /> <br />Referred by Boa~d of Aldermen April 18th. <br /> <br />Advisability of an ordinance governing the sale of produce, &c., in the Market. <br /> Progress as to same. <br /> <br /> Advisability of mn ordinance requiring all drivers of jitneys and automobiles for hire to <br />be 18 years of age and over. <br /> Progress. <br /> <br /> To draft an ordinance to fix the representation among the several City Wards as redistrict- <br />ed, and to fix the pay of same. <br /> It is recommended that the following ordinance be adopted to cover the same: <br /> <br /> An Ordinance to' Amend land Re-ordain Section ll2 of the Ordinauces of the City of <br />Portsmouth~With Regard to Representation Among the Several Wards of the City. <br /> <br /> Advisability of an ordinance to cover the cases of disabled or superannuated firemen and <br />policemen. <br /> It is recommended that the following ordinancebe adopted therefor: <br /> <br />merits. <br /> <br />An Ordinance to Provide for the Retirement of Paid:Men of the Police and Fire Depart- <br /> (Signed) C.N.
