C. Cabeli, attorney for Nfs. Privett from payment of $i3~00 C~ty taxes <br />so erroneously charged, if not alre~y paid <br /> <br /> A petition of W. E. Monroe to be refunded $1.80, paid in error for soil tax on No. <br />Queen street, year 1916, Sixth Ward, was referred to the Finance Department. <br /> <br />1820 <br /> <br /> A petition of the School Board to have made available $~,25~.52 to p~y a bill of the ar- <br />chitect for the new High School Building, was referred to the Finance Department. <br /> <br />A communication was read from Mr. James A, Mulvey preferring charges against the City <br />Clerk ~nd the Chairman of the Department of Finance in connection with the issue of City Bonds. <br /> Mr. Dashiell moved that the Mayor appoint a committee of three citizens to investi- <br />gate the cha~vges and to report to the Council. P. Turiington with re,rd to placing a light on Green street i~ front <br />of the School House was referred to Public Safety Department. <br /> A petition was received from H. J. Maddrey to be refunded $1~L57, paid in error for taxes <br />on No. 1136 Elm avenue, year 1916, $350. value, mhd same was referred to Finance Department. <br /> <br /> A communication was read from Adjutant General W. W.
