<br />BONDS,~ PURSUANT TO SECTION 32A OF THE CP~RTER OF THE CITY OF PORTSNOUTH, FOR THE PURPOSE OF

<br />PURCHASING FIRE ENGINES AND OTH~.~ NECESSARY FIP~E APPARATUS, AND EPJ~CTING BUILDINGS FOR AND E-

<br />O~IPPING THE FIP~ DEP~RTMENT.

<br /> "Sec. l. Be it ord~inedby the Council of the Oity of Portsmouth, V~i~ginia, that pursuau~
<br />to section thirty-two a (32a) of the Charter of the City of Portsmouth, 'in order to purchase
<br />fire engines ~ud other necessary fire apparatus, and erect buildings for ~? properly equipthe
<br />fir~ department of the city, there shall be issued in the n~me, and on behalf of the' Cit~ of '
<br />~ortsmout~, Virginia, Thirty~two Thousand ($32,000) Dollars of coupon or registered bonds in
<br />menominat, mons of SDO0 or $1,000, either or beth, as the Department of Finance of the City Coun-
<br />cil may determine. The said bonds shall be known as "Portsmouth Fire App~atus BondS," a~d the
<br />~roceeds arisin~ from the sale of the same shall be applied to no other purpose them that of
<br />urch~sing fi~e~engines and other necessary fire apparatus, a~d erecting buiidin~? f?r ~n~ cu.
