'May 13, 1919 Referred April 10th (With Annexation Co~muittee) . A special, appropriation of, $2,000. to pay bill of ~Mnn & Tyler, attorneys, for professional services rendered the City in connection wtth annex~%ion ease ~ It is recommended that a special appropriation of $2,000. be made to pay said bill. Herbert, Chairr~no On motion, the report of the Department was adopted, and by the following vote: Ayes-- Claud, Culp~pper, Deans, Hanvey, Herbert, Wright, (Mr. Wright voting no on the recommended appropriation of $2,000. to pay bill of Messrs. Mann & Tyler in canneotion with annexation). THe Special Water Committee reported "Progress" on matters in their hands. The following communications were read ~rom the City ~nager: - let. Rec0~w~ending that a special appropriation of $402.V5 be made to pay bill of Dr. Codd for services at the City Stables,and'a special appropriation of $3.~0 to pay bill of W. & L. E. Gurley for the~Sealer of ',~,~.~ & Measures. On motion, same was referred to the Department of Public Service. 2nd. Stating that he is negotiating for a lease on what is known as =Fraternity Hall= on Maryland Ave ~, west of Third street, for use of the Fire and' Police Headquarters~ in Washir~- ton Ward, for $400. per ma~n~z.~; also that he ~m~s contracted tO remodel the same to meet require- monte for Polic~ ~and Fire headquarters~ On ~otion, said c~ication was ordered to be filed. 3rd. Recommending that a special appropriation of $300. be made tO pay bill of ~. L. Ben- ' nett for Work do~e' ~n sewer near Web~ter Ave. an~ Leckie street; said sewer having given away and caused a stoppage ~in a l~rge part 0~ Fark ~ mew. On motion, the recommendation was referred to the Deps~tment o£ Public Service. 4th. SubmittinE plans showing the proposed extension of the ~ood brides across Gander Cre~k at' First street~ ocasstoned~by the COncrete paving.on .Pirs't and Crawford streets; the es-. timated cost of this bridge extension to be $2,800.00.
