<br /> The minutes of the regular meet-lng April 1Bth, special meeting April 22~, special meeting
<br />-April 26th, adjourned special meeting April 29th, and special meeting May 6th were read and were
<br />approved.
<br />
<br /> At this point, the privilege of.the floor was granted to the'Chairman of the Board of Su-
<br />pervisors of Norfolk County, and DoctQrs Griffin, Foard, and Hope, who spoke i~ favor of a
<br />joint Health Officer and Bacteriologist for the City of Portsmouth and Countyof Norfolk, and
<br />it was stated that t~ Board of Supervisors of Norfolk Co~ty were in favor~ of same.
<br /> ·hey asked t~hat the City take UP the work which the U. S. Public Health Service is now
<br />doing, as the work of the Service would be discontinued June 30th,

<br />from wagons.

<br /> Recommendation of the School Board that a bonus be g~anted to ~hlte ~nd coto~ed teachers of
<br />the newl~ annexed'territory on the same basis as in the old City limits for April, May and June;
