<br />$3,000,00 'alr4ady appropriated, be allowed to improve Broad street from intersection of High
<br />street':to 'Boulevard and West Norfolk Bridge, also to incline Third street to Jackson to Pit, ers
<br />Point;- $4,000.00 of said appropriation to be for improving some oF the side street leadi~ to
<br />Broad and- other streets and cleaning of weeds.

<br />for the City Stables, to take the place of two horses now too old to be worked; also the purchase

<br />o~ Charter by an Act creating a dock commission for the City of Portsmouth.

<br /> 9th. CommtmiC&tion concerning request from the Chief Engineer, S. A. L~ Ry. Co., for ex-
<br />tension until April, 1920, of p~ivtlege'for relaying one of its traCk~ across High street.
<br /> On motion, the request was referred to th~ Public Service Department.

<br /> 10th. -Oormw~_ication attaching copy of his notice to the Superintendent of Streets that the
<br />pa~olls for the Superintendent's Department must not exceed $800. per week until extra provision
<br />~ts made'for the maintenance.
