<br />terminate negotiations with riverboat partnerships in the City
<br />of Portsmouth.

<br /> Substitute motion by Mr. Hawks, and seconded by Mr.
<br />Robinett; for the City of Portsmouth to take no action
<br />regarding the riverboat gambling proposal at this time.
<br />
<br /> Motion by Mr. Griffin, and seconded by Mr. Robinett, to
<br />call for the question, and was defeated by a vote of 6-1
<br />(Griffin).

<br /> The substitute motion for the City of Portsmouth to take
<br />no action regarding the riverboat gambling proposal at this

<br />Assembly legislators to oppose riverboat gambling in the~iC0mmon

<br />February 28, 1995, and was adopted by the following vote:

<br />stadium at Woodrow WilsOn High School.
<br />
<br />3. Vivian Curry, 1328 Roosevelt Boulevard, spoke on the closure
<br />of the ditches on Cavalier Boulevard.
<br />
<br /> Motion by Mr. Clemons, and seconded by Mr. Griffin,
<br />allow Ms. Curry two additional minutes to speak, and was
<br />adopted by unanimous vote.
